This natural Ethiopia from Konga is sweet, smooth, and super satisfying. It tastes like taking a big ol’ bite of sticky, chewy chocolate cake and a spoonful of strawberry preserves simultaneously. You know it’ll turn you into a fatty, but it’s totally worth it – mmmagagah.

ROASTER’S NOTES:
If you’re too cool for natural coffees “I feel bad for you son.” Great naturals like this one are like a gateway to the awesome world of specialty coffee. Sure, they aren’t perfect, but what they lack in clarity and nuance, they make up for with their character and panache’. This one tastes like those chocolate cakes with layers of fruit in the middle. I hated those as a kid, but as a grown ass man – I friggin’ love them.

BREW RECOMMENDATIONS:
Invite the Chemex into your life for a little balance. Deliberately place 34 grams of Konga into the brewer and pour 540 grams of water over the top. Intend on a brew time of about 4 minutes. Breathe in the intoxicating aroma of jammy berries and sweet piecrust. Take a slow, intentional sip from the cup, and allow yourself to melt into the smooth, mellow, chocolaty vibe coming off this brew – Namaste, brothers and sisters.

IMPORTER’S NOTES:
This coffee is produced in Irgachefe, also transliterated as Yirgacheffe. A major town in south-central Ethiopia, Yirgacheffe is located in the Gedeo Zone of the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples Region district and is one of the most famous coffee growing regions in the country. The natural process method used is the oldest method of coffee production and is well known for featuring pleasingly fruity cup profiles that can be seen throughout Ethiopia. Konga is an area within Yirgacheffe known for producing particularly fine coffees. We think this lot is no exception.
