THE DEETS
Nyasi Furaha comes from the southern highlands of Tanzania. It's vibrant and sweet, with a pronounced acidity and flavors that remind us of sweet citrus and blackberry. Nyasi Furaha is a peaberry, which refers to its small pea-shaped beans. The Peaberry is a mutation where coffee cherries only contain one seed rather than two. Peaberries tend to have a nice, bright acidity in the cup, and Nyasi Furaha is no exception!
Since the early 1900s, Tanzania has worked to preserve its natural beauty. Today, about one-third of the country is made up of national parks and conservation areas. Among this scenic diversity, you'll find some of our favorite African coffees. 90% of coffee grown in Tanzania comes from smallholder farms, where workers ensure only the ripest cherries are picked and processed. We're always excited to bring in coffees like this one from Tanzania.
