The Deets

Our partners at Unblended created the Young Producers program to make coffee farming an exciting and viable career path for young people in Colombia. The program pairs young producers with seasoned veterans to help them with their own coffee. This allows them to grow by providing a safe space to experiment with techniques with a safety net. Ultimately, the results are blended with a lot from the mentor to ensure the final product finds a home.

The mentor for this release is the amazing Sebastian Ramirez. His red fruits natural processed coffee is the base of this blend, which ties it all together magically. Sebastian is a fourth-generation coffee farmer who is a master of experimental processing techniques. We've sourced coffees from him and have been amazed by the flavors he can achieve.

We can't stop talking about how much we love this coffee. You'll get an explosion of intense fruit that reminds us of pink Starburst. This softens into elegant floral notes before finishing with a cake-icing sweetness. We're super excited about this program and this coffee and we're honored to be able to share the result with you. You won't want to miss this one.

REST IN PEACE

We allow fresh coffee to rest before drinking it. This give the volatility of the roast time to subside, and the sweetness and character comes alive and shines. We rest washed coffees for 5–10 days, natural coffee for 10–15 days, and experimental processed lots for 15–30 days to reach their maximum potential.
