Nyasi Furaha comes from the southern highlands of Tanzania. Ninety percent of coffee grown in Tanzania comes from smallholder farms, where workers ensure only the ripest cherries are hand-picked and processed. The cherries are then taken to the washing station, where they are sorted for quality, processed, and dried to perfection. The Peaberry is a mutation where coffee cherries only contain one seed rather than two. Nyasi Furaha is a peaberry, which is a mutation that happens where there's a single seed within the cherry rather than two. Nyasi Furaha is vibrant and sweet, with flavors that remind us of sweet citrus and blackberry.
We recommend letting fresh coffee rest to allow the beans to stabilize. This will result in a sweeter, more expressive cup. We rest washed coffees 5–10 days, naturals 10–15 days, and experimentals 15–30 days.
