This coffee comes to us from Tirra Estate in the Tarrazu region of Costa Rica. It's produced by CoopeTarrazú, a co-op made up of 3,500 members. CoopeTarrazú prioritizes the welfare of its members, their families, and the community by providing the necessary tools and education to produce excellent coffee consistently. Tirra Estate is a natural processed coffee grown 1400-1500 meters above sea level. It's harvested in the dry season, allowing it to be dried in the sun.

Tirra Estate immediately stuck out to us on the cupping table, and we knew we wanted to feature it on bar at our shops. It's super sweet with a clean, fruity acidity. It reminds us of raspberry, hibiscus, cake batter, and white chocolate in the cup. Tirra has big jelly-filled donut vibes, and we flippin' love donuts. Don't sleep on this one y'all. It's so dang good.

  • BREW RATIO

    Tirra Estate likes a stronger brew ratio. For filter, go with a 15:1 water-to-coffee ratio and espresso, 2.7:1.

  • GRIND SIZE

    Tirra flows quickly as espresso and pour-over, but let it brew quickly on a medium grind.

  • BREWER

    The Aeropress is the most forgiving option for this coffee. Look for sweet and balanced cups.

  • BREWER

    Keep it simple and brew this one in your auto drip brewer with a stronger ratio and your default grind.
