Sebastián Ramírez

Sebastián is a fourth-generation farmer known for constantly pushing the boundaries of specialty coffee. He began his journey 14 years ago when he took over the family farm. A former sushi chef, Sebastián naturally gravitated toward fermentation, experimenting with adding aromatic plants to his tanks long before co-fermentation became a trend.

Alejandro Ariza

Alejandro co-founded 1040 Inzá Coffee, a family-run project focused on improving local coffee quality and empowering the community in Inzá, Cauca. Together with his father and mother, Alejandro has built a model that combines entrepreneurship and social impact, driven by a clear mission to uplift Inzá through coffee.

Santiago Arango

Santiago grew up in a coffee family but built his career in Medellín, outside of coffee. After his father’s passing, he took over the family farms. This responsibility reignited his connection to coffee and to his roots. While learning the business from the ground up, he discovered specialty coffee as a way to build something meaningful and lasting.

Sara Tobón

Sarah is a biomedical engineer turned coffee producer. She is transforming her family’s farm into a hub of precision and passion for specialty coffee. She works full-time in Medellín, and spends her weekends at the farm with her sister, producing high-quality coffee that reflects both technical excellence and a deep love for the craft.  

Cabresto Coffee

Cabresto Coffee in Andes, Antioquia, was founded by cousins José and David Vásquez (above) and Julián Patiño. Their goal is to promote coffee grown across the region. José embodies the resilience and optimism of Colombia’s next generation of coffee leaders. Cabresto is a hub for young coffee farmers to find inspiration in Specialty Coffee.
