Unblended created the Young Producers program to make coffee farming an exciting and sustainable career path for young people in Colombia. The participants are paired with the incredible Sebastián Ramírez, who guides them through the process of cultivating and refining their coffee.
This special lot brings together small lots from the young producers, blended with Sebastián’s Red Fruit co-ferment to ensure consistency and incredible flavor. The program offers a safe space for these producers to learn, experiment, and grow, helping to build the next generation of Colombian coffee talent.
We can’t stop talking about how much we love this coffee. It bursts with intense fruit (think pink Starburst) that softens into elegant florals and finishes with a cake-icing sweetness. We’re honored to be a part of this program for the second year and excited to share this coffee with you.
We recommend resting fresh coffee before drinking it. This allows the volatility of the roast time to subside, and the sweetness and character to shine. For best results, rest washed coffees for 5–10 days, natural coffees for 10–15 days, and experimental processed coffees for 15–30 days.
